Online course: Introduction to Entrepreneurship
Course objectives:
This online course entitled Introduction to Entrepreneurship, developed within the framework of WP6, aims to equip students with the essential knowledge and skills to foster entrepreneurship in the context of sustainable development. The course will provide a comprehensive foundation in entrepreneurship, business models, as well as entrepreneurship implementation and communication techniques focusing on practical skills for starting and growing businesses with a focus on sustainability and innovation.
By the end of this course, participants will have gained a strong understanding of entrepreneurship principles, the tools for creating and implementing business models, and effective communication strategies to present entrepreneurial ideas successfully. This online course serves as a foundational stepping stone for those aspiring to make an impact in the entrepreneurial and tourism sectors.
The course was developed by the Entrepreneurship Module Working Group, comprising representatives from six partner institutions in Vietnam and the Philippines and EU partners from Spain, Portugal and Spain:

Course methodology:
The course is organized in both synchronous and asynchronous formats to provide a flexible and engaging learning experience. Asynchronous learning takes place on the Moodle platform of each university, where students can access recorded videos, reading materials, and resources at their own pace. This allows students to review key concepts, explore case studies, and engage in independent learning activities such as quizzes and discussion boards.
In the synchronous format, students participate in live sessions where they can interact with instructors and lectures, ask questions, and receive immediate feedback. These sessions are designed to deepen understanding through interactive discussions, real-time problem-solving activities, and guest webinars with successful entrepreneurs.
Course Structure:
The course is divided into 3 modules, each with submodules designed to offer both theoretical understanding and practical application.
1. Entrepreneurship fundamentals
o Principles of entrepreneurship (concept, origins, evolution, and types)
o From idea to opportunity: exploring entrepreneurial perspectives
o Defining the successful Entrepreneur Profile
2. Base Business Creation Model
o Introduction to entrepreneurship business models
o Innovation, entrepreneurship, and sustainability in business models
o Implementation strategies for the business model
3. Entrepreneurship implementation and communication techniques
o Funding opportunities for entrepreneurial projects
o Designing effective business proposals
o Successful communication techniques for pitching a business idea
o Resources to support entrepreneurship
