Bojo Aloguinsan Ecotourism Association (BAETAS) was established last 2009. It is funded and initiated by Local Government unit of the Municipality of Aloguinsan. The project was run and operated by the group of farmers, fishermen and housewives. The objective of this project is to preserve the environment, attract tourist and earn alternative income. It is legally registered by the Department of labor and Employment ( DOLE) and Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR). This project gives a lot of benefit to the local, environment and to the government such as employment, education, outreach program for the community and preserve environment. In 2015, we won the UNEP PATA Tourism Inspire Award in Philippines, Global Top 100 Sustainable Destination in 2016, 2017 & 2018, in Slovenia, Portugal and Germany, Asean Award in 2017, Singapore, Best Tourism Villages in the World in 2021.
